Topic: Longest Journey...?

I read in magazines etc about people who take their landys on 'holidays/expeditions' abroad and was wondering what was the longest journey owners have ventured in their land Rovers and what problems (if any  ) and experiences they encountered?

Re: Longest Journey...?

Nothing spectacular for me, From County Durham to the North West of Scotland - Applecross area, also to Cornwall.  Apart from a sore bum on the longer driving days, no problems encountered at all!
I always wonder a bit about the posts on the various forums 'I am going to Cornwall in my SIII and I wondered what spares I should carry' and similar - easy answer for me - 'no more than if you were popping down to the shops' - unless you are going somewhere exotic, and do not have breakdown cover for wherever you are going, why should you need to carry loads of extra spares?
